Schaumburg patients can reach my office in about five minutes. From Woodfield Mall, you head north on Meacham, west on Higgins, and you are at 1555 Barrington Road before you finish your podcast. That is on purpose. The practice is intentionally located on the Hoffman Estates / Schaumburg border so patients on both sides of Roselle Road have easy access.

I am Dr. Keith Schmidt, MD, triple board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, the American Board of Anesthesiology in Pain Medicine, and the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians. I have been treating Schaumburg patients since the practice opened, and I have a steady stream of referrals from primary care doctors throughout the village.

Why Schaumburg patients choose this practice

Schaumburg is a corporate hub. A lot of my Schaumburg patients work at the Motorola, Zurich, or Roosevelt University campuses, and they need a pain doctor who respects their time and gets them back to functioning. Others are retirees who walk the trails at Spring Valley or want to keep up with grandkids at LegoLand Discovery Center. The treatment plan looks different for each group, but the philosophy is the same: find the source, treat the source, minimize medication, get you moving again.

Frequently asked questions from Schaumburg patients

How far is your office from Schaumburg?

About five minutes from the Woodfield Mall area, depending on traffic. Most Schaumburg patients are at the office in under ten minutes from anywhere in the village.

I have a Schaumburg PCP. Will you coordinate care with them?

Yes. Send me their fax number on the intake form and I will copy them on every consult note and procedure report. Pain management works best when your full care team is in sync.

Do you treat work-related injuries / workers’ comp cases?

Yes. Schaumburg has a heavy concentration of corporate offices, and work-related back, neck, and repetitive-motion injuries are common in my practice. We work with most major workers’ comp carriers.
